HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!
Well, here we are in 2012! It's been a month since I posted last...a month choc a block with Christmas and New Year gorgeousness...and a month when my creativity has been given a good rest and will hopefully be resurfacing soon!!!!
So our highlights from the Christmas season???
Jack being a star (literally) in the preschool nativity...(sorry about the picture quality)
...while Ellie Rose watched proudly (while her nappy leaked all over Katrina's lap haha!
Then for Ed and me Christmas spent in Falmouth in Cornwall. The first time away from the family and a real treat with spa treatments, cocktails, LOADS of fabulous food, and wonderful walks along the coastal paths at both Falmouth and The Lizard. ...
Christmas morning on Falmouth beach...
We were just amazed to see how many plants continue to flower during our mild winter this year...
...and even a busy bumble bee on a fully flowering hebe on Christmas morning...unbelieveable - he should be fast asleep!!! as should the plants...
Then on our return to the hotel a hamper delivered by Santa himself...full of cornish goodies...
Great hotel - obviously they had more wine than we could drink lol...although we tried hehe!
...a mouthful to far for Ed at Christmas Lunch
Then a long walk on a blustery cliff-top at the Lizard on Boxing Day...
The Lizard is my most favourite place in the whole world!!!!!
I really look like my Mum in this photo...no makeup I'm afraid...
...simply sublime...
Then home and off for presents at J's and the joy at watching Ellie toddling behind her new walker...
...and Jack enjoying a cuddle with his Great Grandad...
...we are blessed!
Ellie with her Great Grandad...
So there we are.....another Christmas gone and a new year beginning.
In 6 short weeks I shall be 55 and that is slightly scaring me....60 on the horizon and I'm not ready.....
I really need to lose some weight. We have a wedding to go to in the summer and I am setting myself the challenge to lose 40lb by then!!! So I have already started counting my weightwatcher points...it's hard...but I am determined!!!!! I shall get Ed to take a 'before' picture and then an 'after' picture when the weight is off and I shall blog it when I've lost the weight!! That is my challenge for this year!
Do you have a challenge for this year of 2012? I'd love to know what it is!!
Once again - Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by.

Happy New Year, Lesley!! Thank you for sharing your Christmas! My goal for 2012 is to get and stay healthy...
Kathy
Happy New Year Lesley!! I loved the photographs...from the children's happy faces, to the Lizard and the beauty of Falmouth -- and you and the Mister smiling on your time away -- bliss!!!!
The way you spent Christmas at the hotel sounds very like something I would love to do...our Christmas was quiet this year with it just the 4 of us now, no extended family left and I wanted to go away but my husband wanted to stay home. Maybe one day I can convince him it would be fun...we'll never know if we don't try!
Best of luck with the weight loss! I need to do that as well and intend to join a local gym next week (everyone and his brother goes right after Christmas and then quits..I'm waiting until it's "back to normal"!!) to get myself in shape and I've got some projects and adventures lined up as I begin my 12 months of "risk"!
I wish for you the happiest New Year filled with peace, good health, and love Lesley,
Oh, how spectacular your photos are!! I am so happy you got to do your beautiful vacation! It all looks like paradise!
I have goals which are too numerous to list, losing weight would be right at the top also!
Welcome back, Lesley - glad you had a great Christmas. Love your photos - let's hope we don't get a nasty cold spell now!
Happy New Year, Lesley! Gorgeous photos of both your holiday and Jack and Ellie. Can't believe how much she has grown! Hope you have a fabulous 2012. I am still thinking about goals, but definitely need to lose a few pounds. Good luck with yours!
Happy New Year Lesley to you and yours lovely family pics.
I like you have a wedding an badly need to lose weight. Though its sounds well before yours, early April. I know I won't be slim by then but hey ho I hope to lose two stone.
So I must put that Quality Street down and get out my bicycle. Too blustery though today ha-ha.

Oh I love your photos. And it looks as if you have had a wonderful holiday. I loved the photos of the kids, and giggled at the word nappy! I love it! I think I am misplaced, I think in a past life I had to have lived over the pond.
Oh the birthday, how I know that feeling. And lets just say it, you certainly are a ways from 60!!! lol...But I know what your saying.
And the weight loss, yep, again, can relate to that too. I had a couple of weeks of eating some no-no's and drinking to much wine, but it was the holidays after all, and I am back on track. I never stopped the gum, yay, me. I KNOW better...
I wish I was brave enough to so the before/after pics, I wasn't. I wish I had measured, I didn't. I have not lost a lot on the scale, but I know I have lost inches. And have gained, feeling good! The yoga is a God send for me...and I am going at least 3 times a week.
So I will be with you, virtually...much luck sweet, sweet friend.
