I have just been looking back over the last 12 months - the things I've made - and realised that it was 2011 when I started moving away from papercraft and cardmaking into the heady realms of mixed media!!!
Ooo it has been fun learning new techniques and discovering new mediums to play with.
So this post is showing the artwork I am most proud of from the last 12 months be it a card or a painting or a journal page or whatever really...it's interesting to see how my style has fluctuated according to who I have been inspired by over the year too...
My first discovery of the year was Caran d'Ache watersoluble crayons - love em!!!!...
a special birthday...
...then I was dipping in to Tam's Fabulous Faces course...
...and then discovered the talents and tutorials of Christy Tomlinson...
and eventually had the courage to create things for myself - instead of copying...
...but still had time to make a few cards...
...and a christening present for Ellie Rose...
...and then Christmas was upon us...
There you go - a snapshot of my creative year. I wonder what 2012 has in store :) What is your favourite?? I'd love to know!!

thye are all lovely, my fav, thats hard, I think i will say the one with the bird that says, the bird doesn't sing because he has an answer, he sings because he has a song, I probably said that wrong but I can't read it when I'm commentingh, lol, I love them all!

Very difficult to choose one favorite, can I compromise with two faves? I love your yellow haired girl with FLY, and your card with all of the shades of browns, with the creamy beige leaves...love. Your work is joyful. Truly. Your love comes through in them all.

I know which is my favorite, mine...lol. I am looking at it now. On my wonderful art friends art wall! Oh what beautiful things you have made. And fun new techniques too. It's so lovely to see all your makes together, Lesley. Your distinctive syle really jumps out. I would be hard pushed to pick a favourite, they are all so gorgeous in their own individual way. I love the bird card though and of course I am the proud owner of a Christmas original. It'll be the only Christmas card that stays on show all year 'cos I love it!!
