Paint Party Friday - week 49 check in...

Hello,

It is that time of the week again to join in with Paint Party Friday so if you want to see some amazing art grab a cuppa, pull up a chair and indulge in a blog hop around some VERY creative blogs...

A huge thank you to Eva and Kristin for hosting this party each week.

This week I have been mainly making cards as I have a lot of family celebrations in February/March/April but I have had a little time for some sketching and painting.

The other day I was feeling extremely spiky so reached for my sketch book and a pencil.....

...drawing quickly and emptying my emotions into the portrait felt wonderfully therapeutic!!!

On another evening I just felt like doodling....

...then enjoyed colouring in with a mixture of watered down acrylics and poster paint pens...

This week over at PPF their poll question is about how we incorporate digital art into our usual art, if at all.  I don't and wouldn't know how to start but David Hockney has an amazing exhibition at the Royal Acadamy of his digital art - I'm hoping to go to see it next month. You can check it out here and hear him talk about it.

We have a relaxed weekend this week so really looking forward to some serious chilling....
Enjoy your weekend!
Thank you for visiting - it is much appreciated.

Two very different states of mind are portrayed in these pieces; one quick and powerful, the other calm and meditative...
Beautiful work on both of them!

Hi Lesley -- I really like Spiky; her expression, her eyes and her mouth, she's a bit of a comic I think and her hair exaggerates that quality. Thanks for sharing Terri www.morningdewdrops.com
